Just in Time for the Holidays Cinemark Theatres Introduces Personalized Gift Cards

PLANO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Cinemark Holdings, Inc. (the "Company") will launch a new gift card option, in which customers can upload their own image or photo to a Cinemark gift card, beginning on November 17, 2008. This new feature will provide customers an exciting, new way to personalize the gift of movies for themselves or another film-lover.

"Our gift cards have always been a very popular item," states James Meredith, VP of Marketing & Communications for Cinemark USA, Inc. "They offer a great way to say 'Thank You,' 'Congratulations,' or 'Happy Holidays'. Now the gift of movies can be personalized even more, as our customers have the ability to upload their favorite photos or images onto the card." Patrons can place any value they wish onto a stored value card for redemption towards ticket and concession purchases at any Cinemark or Century Theatre location nationwide. The customer's gift card can then be reloaded online at cinemark.com or at any Cinemark or Century Theatre.

The new customized gift card option is available only online at http://www.cinemark.com/ and arrives inside a personal greeting card of the customer's choice. A maximum of 9 personalized gift cards are allowed per single transaction. To purchase cards online, patrons should visit the Cinemark web site at http://www.cinemark.com/ and select the "Gift Card" tab. These cards may be acquired by using any major credit card.

After a Cinemark gift card is purchased, the card holder may register his or her card at http://www.cinemark.com/. This allows cardholders to manage their accounts, purchase advance tickets online with no service fee (does not apply to Fandango.com purchases), view gift card activity, and reload the card with additional value. If a registered card is lost or stolen, Cinemark can reissue a new card which prevents the customer from losing their value. These cards have no expiration date and do not incur any fees.
