Cinemark and Arts Alliance Present the Royal Opera House in Cinemark Theatres across Latin America
PLANO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Cinemark Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CNK) one of the world's largest motion picture exhibitors, announced today in conjunction with Arts Alliance, the showing of the 2014/15 Royal Opera House season on the big screen starting December 13, 2014.
“The Royal Opera House has been a great partner for us in Brazil and we are responding to the customer base that enjoys the arts by expanding the showings to other countries,” stated Valmir Fernandes, President Cinemark International.
Cinemark began their partnership with The Royal Opera House in 2011 in Brazil and is now expanding to other Latin America countries. The Royal Opera House Cinema 2014/15 season will be shown in Cinemark theatres and on Cinemark’s large format XD screens, where available, throughout Latin America in the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and Peru. The following operas and ballets will be shown: Manon, I Due Foscari, L’elisir D’amore, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Andrea Chénier, Der fliegende Holländer, Swan Lake, Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny, La Fille mal gardée, La bohème, Guillaume Tell.
